In 2006, Ingrid Emerick and I banded together to create a different type of publishing company. We vowed that not only would Girl Friday Productions provide the ideal workplace for the two of us, but it would also meet the needs of each team member that came through the door. We’ve learned and grown over the decades, and the publishing industry has shifted and changed, innovated (and not!). But through it all, what has never wavered is our belief that companies can and should nurture the dreams of both our team and our clients. And the love has come back tenfold. ANTI-RACISM BOOK DRIVE
Girl Friday teamed up with two local organizations to help build up a robust Anti-Racism Lending Library in Tacoma, Washington, in partnership with black-owned indie bookseller Parable.
SUPPORTING REFUGEE FAMILIES
We were honored to help create a book of stories and recipes for Refugee Women’s Alliance, a powerful Seattle-based nonprofit devoted to helping refugee women, children, and families. Now more than ever, we all need nourishment, understanding, and love.
